Do you think the Voyage would be number 1?

Do you think Voyage would be number 1? I hope it would be numer 1 so it could get back the number 1 title for Holiday World. That would mean 3 wooden roller coasters would be on the top ten list for wooden rollers coasters.

With more airtime than Hades, I have no doubt,

Actually the tunnel on Hades might be it's weakest part although great in itself. The floater on the return into the tunnel and the speed runs are it's highlights not to mention the pre lift insantity sequence.

If Voyage has all it's elements working like they should. This thing is gonna be SUPER AWESOME!

Chuck, super excited but will have to ride it to determine #1 Even ST isn't my #1 when it isn't running tops. Hades I've yet to decide where to put it. Definetly top 5

There is no doubt in my mind that it will be the best wooden coaster in the world. The turn around, tunnels, and the first drop will be amazing!

I probably am setting myself up for disappointment. I have already done it on Hydra and Son of Beast.

Well we (Missy and I) have both decided that we'll ride it and then worry about how to assimilate it into our wooden coaster rankings. (FYI: LR is our #1)

Ok here it is the track record of #1 will continue. I have yet to experience them at holiday world. Sadly i wish i could have this year, but for sure next year, since i kinda live close. Ill have to wait and see if they can unseat my tossup #1s of Beast and LR. I cant wait to see what all Holiday World is about, and this took it over the edge.

(Directed at all of us, not anyone in particular) Who cares if it is your #1 or my #1, the real question is does it have a chance at being #1 to the majority of people who vote in coaster polls?

...And by what we've seen so far, yes it has a very good chance. Looking at Voyage's design, it seems to me that HW want to build everyone's favorite coaster.

I don't think anyone's going to be able to ride SFGAdv's new woodie next year due to long lines and frequent shutdowns. ;)

Joe it doesn't look like you have any room to talk ;) Legend is #2 for both of us and then the lists are no longer the same. :)

Trekker Park

We just came back from our annual Holiday World visit. While my daughter and her friend were enjoying the water park, I went over and walked around the Voyager construction site as best I could without crossing into any restricted areas. Judging from what I saw, the artist's conceptions, and the engineers' analysis, I think Voyager has a legitimate chance of displacing the current top coasters and becoming the number one woodie in most people's opinions. This could be a historic coaster we're watching go up. I didn't go up and take photos of The Beast or Mean Streak or Shivering Timbers or Legend undedr construction, and now of course such pix would be treasures. I think Voyager may very well be one of those special coasters.

But as has been mentioned, anticippointment is always a risk. Next Spring will tell the tale.

I am sure it will rock everyone's worlds, but I don't set myself up with anticipointment. I need to ride it first and then give an educated opinion just like everyone else.

Besides, looks don't mean a damn thing in coasters. Just look at SOB. :-)

Even if the ride was totally awful, (WHICH IT WON'T BE!), it would probably be #1 just because of all the hype/attention it already getting.

This coaster is just going to rock...can't wait until October 1st to get my first view of it so far. My wife is not an unthusiast, but even she's getting a bit excited about "The Voyage".
