Random CP Questions

Just got done with my CP trip, and I have an array of questions for anyone with answers.

1. When did ALL of the rides get queue gates in the stations? I could have swarn last time I was there (2003) there were a good number that did not have them.

2. What happened to the sound Dragster's brakes on the launch track used to make? It used to be a series of loud bangs as it followed the train down the track

3. How can Cedar Point justify still toting Dragster as the tallest and fastest in the world. I know Kingda Ka is down, but it's not like it doesn't exist.

1.) The gates were phased in on most rides since around 2002. All rides now have some sort of barrier between the queue and the coaster.

2.) The brakes only made those noises in 2003. They were quieted after modifications in the 2003-2004 offseason.

3.) They don't do that except for the recording in line, which sucks anyway.

3. They're not going to stop pushing Dragster as the tallest and fastest until KK is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.

I always find it weird how the brakerun shakes as the train passes the finishline. It's basically absorbing the shock I think.

The brakes seem to shake even before it hits the finish line, but I guess there's no avoiding that.

Also, on the signs right next to the speed indicator, it still says "tallest and fastest", too.

It shakes because what is shaking is that piece of crap cover they have over the electrical and air supply. Next time you go it is all rusted out and bent that is what shakes and rattles when the train is coming down the brake run.

The sign by the speed inticator reads "The fastest coaster in the world." They painted out the "Tallest."

The whole track does shake. The curved sections of track where the ride goes vertical sway long after the train has passed.
