Too Many People Losing Things In Parks

Fellow Coasterbuzzers....as the weekend approaches, I just want to remind you to keep a close eye on your personal belongings as you head out to the parks. Every weekend that I have gone to a park this year, I have found things that people have dropped or left behind. I feel badly for them, because I would hate for it to happen to me or my family.

In just 3 visits this year I have found/picked up:
1. An on-ride photo that someone paid good money
for and now was just laying on the ground.

2. Money left behind in the seat of the coaster.

3. Jewelry

4. Two recording videos that someone made and just
left sitting in a bag on a bench.

So, everyone just "hang on" in every sense of the word and have a great time!

Make it a habit, like I have, when you step out of a coaster car, to immediately check for your wallet and keys. I don't even have to think about it anymore.

I saw a friend of mine once loose some candy from their pocket on a Chaos. Interestingly enough, the candyw as the same color as the ride, and it worked visually in a strange way.

My daughter left her sweat shirt on two rides in a row at SFA today. Fortunately we got it back both times.

I like the pants I take to PKI: the back pocket zips up so that I can put in my keys, wallet, anything I need that I dont trust the ride ops with. It works

It's instinctive with me, too. After almost losing my Season Pass on Cyclone at SFNE, I always check for my wallet when I get off. If there's a slow point along the course, I met put my hand in my pocket and check if it's there, but usually I'm concentrating on the coaster of course!

I havent lost anything at a park, although at KennyKon last year someone took my bag (which had one of those original Steel Phantom posters and a t-shirt), durring the last little bit of ERT on the Thunderbolt. I should have tied it to my backpack *sigh*.

When I was at CP back in August, I lost a disposable camera on Gemini. I was pretty sure I left it in my seat, so I came back around to ride again, and asked one of the ride ops if anyone had turned in a camera. He said he would check. So we rode the ride, and when we came back into the station, the jackass left! I was SO mad!
