Most annoying lift hill

Which lift hill makes the most annoying sound when you're waiting in line? For me it would have to La Viabola (sp?) the line goes right past it and the sound becomes very obnoxious after 20 times.By annoying, I mean the sound the coaster makes when it hits the lift. *** This post was edited by Twistamaniac on 4/11/2001. ***

Magnum. After Riding MF's super-fast super quiet lift, I got spoiled!
I couldn't take the +minute journey of just clanking and clanking. (esp in the third car.)

Millenium Forces lift hill is terrible. It ruins the expierience. It is too fast to get a good view or get scared

Even though I love these two rides tremendously, the lift hills of Nessie and Anaconda are *so* loud. You can hear a car going up clear across the park.

Are all Arrow's like this? Did Drachen Fire have the same "clanking" sound?

Hmmm. Sonny immediately comes to mind. Trying to have a conversation with someone going up that hill is impossible.

SOB was a little annoying, but I find it a little freaky. Same in the opposite way for MF. You know how you feel when it's just too quiet. Something's wrong there. I prefer a little noise. It's more fun to hear the noise suddenly stop when you drop from the lift.

I like how La Vibora does! It's something to keep you awake when you're waiting. :) The lifts aren't very annoying to me. I can tune out most of them.

The most annoying Lift hill in the world belongs to SOB. It is too loud at the beggining, and too loud when you are about to let go. It hurts your ears it is so loud.

You know that typical Arrow sound? At La Rounde, Le Peteie Manageries (an arrow junior coaster, REALLY FUN) has each of the anti rollbacks a different thickness to produce a different pitch. It's a musical lift hill. I laughed all the way up!

The loudest queue line entrance to ride doors thing is on the Invertigos. Everyone always covers their ears when the ride comes through the station. Ouch! That's the worst(non-lifthill, non-riding).

SoB, hands down. MF's also sucks, but at least my ears weren't ringing afterwards. Chain lifts beat elevator cables any day!

I don't know, but I really hate the Raptor's lift. It is REALLY loud. Maybe because it is the back row I always ride in? I always though that Iron Dragon had a loud click every once in a while too.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven

I like MF's lift, its sooo unnerving that you're going so fast, so steep, so quiet. Then you get THROWN over the top! Very fun, especially at night!

iron dragon has an annoying lift hill. it slows down like half way up. i like mf's lift. because usually the best part of a coaster comes after the lift.

SROS at SFNE. Now that they tweaked the chain engine so it goes faster, the anti-rollbacks are so so so loud! You can even here it driving awau from the park, so imagine waiting in the queue line!

Now this is not the loudest most annoying lift but the second lift on the Iron Dragon at Cedar Point goes so slow it makes you feel like the ride is broken it goes so slow it is almost like you are stopped.

Yea, I don't really understand what's the deal with the SROS lift at SFNE. The one at Darien Lake is almost totally silent and there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in speed. Perhaps its just something they never figured out. Hopefully it'll be better this year, although I doubt it.

Lightning Racer at Hershey has a really loud lift, but it kind of sounds cool. I really don't think I have a lift that I hate although Raptor's annoys me since just about every other B&M I've been on has been much quieter.
