Crazy Coaster

Anyone ridden this? Do you consider it a coaster? Anyone know who designed it. Kind of reminds me of SuperSoaker at Hershey.

Okay, how is the track being supported???

I don't get it, the wheel structure makes a full circle around the track, what is holding the track???

The track itself is being held up with side supports. The Cable is what keeps the cars up and its so tight it held up by the wheels. I think! Its like a chair lift at a ski resort.

But the wheels are too big to be like the ones that hold up a cable chairlift, I don't know I think I need some sleep or something (cause I just don't get it) LOL. I stayed up all night writting a paper, I'm so tired.

The track it's self is supported by the posts between the rail and the over head supports. The wheels are auctually two pieces and the support goes between the wheels. In othew words, there are 4 wheels and not just 2 as it looks like, and the supports fall between the 2 wheels. The edges of the wheel are beveled, creating an upside down "V", so that the car stays centered on the rail and doesn't hit the support.

Very interesting. Looks like it could use a paint job. :)

World's first Inverteded coaster anyone?

Nope! Since we don't know when this thing actually opened it's hard to say for sure. But I'm putting my money on:

I doubt that the one in England opened before 1902.

edit: I just realized you said first inverted instead of suspended. My bad. So in conclusion, no comment. ;)

Yeah, seems to me the ops could get some nasty road, er dirt burn.

Did anyone else notice the weight limit sign? Maximum weight is listed as 65 Kg or 10 stone.

Anything more and that Old structure would break. It looks pretty weak.
