I have been searching high and low to find if any parks still have one of these rides in operation. I fell in love with Axis in its short lived run at Knoebles, and have never found a flat that I feel is as fun. Are there any still out there?

Real men ride wood... coasters that is!

I haven't been there in years, but Old Town in Orlando, FL used to run a Mixer.

Old Town wisely got rid of theirs.

Sorry, but the Mixer was a lousy ride. It looked cool, but it was alternately boring and painful, so most people only rode it once. Plus, I hear there were some "issues" with it. Not Zamperla's best product by a long shot!

It sure looked cool in the video from years ago since they fogged/smoked up the area around it to accenuate the lights, but it didn't seem terribly interesting. I thought I remember a friend of mine telling me this model got moved to New Jersey at one of the seaside parks. This could be rumor or fact also, but I heard that Zamperla cut Knoebels a deal on the Power Surge that replaced the Mixer.

I saw the Mixer at Old Town (SHOULD have a couple pics somewhere), but it was SBNO at the time.

Other Zamperla products I've sampled:
Power Surge :):)
Rockin Tug :) (Knotts' operations of Tug :(, LOL)
Fire Brigade :)
DiskO :)
Kite Flyer :( - and its evil twin in terms of restraints...
Flying Coaster :(:(
Family Swinger (this is HW's HallowSwings, right?) :)
And the good ol' Fiesta Express, which makes toddlers cry from the boredom, LOL...

Anyone tried the Zamperla Discovery? Is one located in the States?

Adventureland in Iowa has one. I was kinda surprised by how slow and unexciting it was.

The closest Discovery to the States is at La Ronde in Montreal. There, its called the Manitou and runs a powerful and long program!

MFI got a Nitro, which is a smaller 16 passengers version.

The one really rare Zamperla product I got to try out years ago was the Energy Storm (or as it's listed on flatrides.com--Energy Storm3. That's my picture). Reithoffer brought it to the Great Frederick Fair in Western Maryland. I thought it was pretty wild, but my friend Gowithgravity didn't like it too much due to the restraints--which were unlike any other Zamperla restraints I've seen--and because you hung upside down for a while while spinning. I'm pretty sure that the ride operator could control it under manual control, so you never knew when it was going to flip upside down. I haven't seen it at either of Reithoffer's units, so I don't know if they got rid of it or not.

That's possible about it being movied to a shore park in NJ since Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ (http://www.gillians.com/rides_midway.htm#t) has had the ride for a few years

The Mizer was a flat I never had the chance to experience, but from what people say, it's fine with me.

Ugg... the mixer is like a roto shake, except slower, more painful, and less thrilling. Doesn't get much worse than that.

When I went to GWP a few years ago I found no pain in it. It feels the same way that the Hawk rides from Zamperla do when they go slow at the top.

Adventureland in Iowa has one. It has many problems though. It suffers many breakdowns every day, many of them coming from restraint sensors shutting down the ride in mid-air, forcing the ride to come down very slowly, and making the operators push it back into the loading position. In fact, I was just at Adventureland, and it didn't operate most of the day, because of a sensor in the restraints.

I didn't like the ride much. It was very slow, and put a ton of pressure on your legs. I got a bruise from it once, on my theigh. It hurts more if you are taller.

Yes, my homepark in Iowa does have one. I have only ridden it a couple of times as it is very slow and does hurt if your taller just like Coasterwiz stated.

The worst is when it stranded riders upside down, hope no one threw up!!!!!
