Is BGW getting a fast pass system?

I heard this from a ride op of Pompeii. If this is true will they be worth the $? How much will they cost?

There is a difference between virtual queuing, a la Disney's system, and paying for front of the line access. The only park I know of that has a pay for placement arrangement is IOA.

I don't know if BGW is going to do anything, but now that PKD is using the "Express Lane" ticket system for Volcano and Hypersonic, BGW may follow suit.

I used the ticket system for Volcano this weekend, and it was great. Worked very well for me and my group. BGW may wait and see how well it goes at PKD. (But for some reason, the lines move faster at BGW than they do at PKD. They may not need to do anything different.)

Yes I have never waited for Alpengeist, or Nessie.

Hold on a second, what is this express ticket thing at PKD. I had not heard of anything like this. I am going to PKD and it would be helpful if I knew this information, can someone please tell me in detail what it is and if neccesary how do I obtain it if I have to or if it's free. Please, this would be appreciated.

The Universal system only indirectly requires you to pay to use it by setting up a caste system, rewarding multiday ticket holders and people who stay at their hotels. However, even the lowly single day ticket holders get some access, on par with the Disney system.

As far as I know, SFOG is the only park that directly charges for use of a FastPass system.

Ace15, PKD is using an "Express Lane" or "Express Line" ticket system for Volcano and Hypersonic. It is free. They set up ticket machines outside of these two rides. You get a ticket which tells you what time to come back to ride.

Get there a little early. For example, if you are to ride at 4:00, get there about 15 minutes early. They have the express line set up that takes you straight in to the ride. On Volcano, they let the Express Line ticket holders take the whole next train, then let the people in line have the next train, then so on.

Beware, they stop giving out tickets at a certain time. I don't know what time it is, but it is fairly early. Be sure to get yours as soon as you can.

Interesting. With an express ticket, are you allowed to pick seats (i.e. the front) or would this just screw up the system? And while on the topic, does Hypersonic have a front-line queue at all?

I have no information about the express tickets, but YES Hypersonic has an extended front line queue. You can wait for any of the four rows that you want.

With the Express Line system, you can't really pick the seats you want, because what they do is count off the number of riders to fill up a train and send them in. Of course, the people at the front of the line are more than likely going to take the front seat, so it all depends where you are in the express line and where they cut it off.
