Going to Universal

Going to Universal Studios in Orlando in late June. What rides do you recomend to go on first? Will the park be very crowded in late June on a weekday? Seen it on the internet, can you buy a E-Pass (think that is what they are called) if so, how much are they. And how does there free cut in line pass work (with the park admission ticket)?

I dont know if this is too late for you but if you book at a Universal Resort then you get two free cut to the front of the line passes (one in the morning, one in the afternoon) on allmost every ride, for free. I highly suggest looking into this.

Touchdown, acually, if you book at a Universal Resort, your Room Key acts as a "fastlane" pass and works at both IOA and Universal Studios. You get unlimited line cuts with it (except on the Universal fright fest you cannot use your room key). My recomendation, ride The Mummy first thing, and use your key card if you must. It is one of the best dark rides out there.

arrive early (within an hour of gate-open) and ride the Revenge of the Mummy first
go to the back of the park and ride Men In Black, Back to the Future (if you don't mind violent jolts), Woodies Nuthouse coaster (if you're a kid at heart) and E.T.
The rest of attractions have pretty good capacity, so go with the flow. Don't miss T2.

This is only an opinion. I've never been to Universal Studios Florida in June.

Colin, Last year during the summer they restricted it to twice a day, unless something has changed expect them to do that again. Its still a great deal though.

Oh, well, I went in October of last year (2004) and they let us use it as many times as we wanted, I scored atleast 40+ laps on The Hulk and about 20 each on Fire and Ice Dragons in the 4 days I was there. It was amazing. Maybe because school had already started and the peak season was starting to end.

Can you buy the E-Pass if you don't stay in their resort.

The parks wont be too terribly crowded, but sometime between 11am and 1pm it *will* rain, no matter what day you are there. I'm not trying to be a smart-a$$, but when I went there the last week of June it rained everyday like clockwork. But come about 2pm you'd have never known it rained at all as it was hot sunny and muggy. With all the rain having been dried up for the most part. So plan on that time for eating/watching indoor shows ;)

The daily shower thing is a summer phenomenon only though. We never have that problem in November.

I can't say enough about staying on-property and enjoying those perks. Even in the slower parts of the year I think it's well worth it. It really is a fabulous place, and City Walk is a lot of fun at night provided it's not overly crowded. It's especially nice to be able to stumble back to your room without having to drive.

We went over my christmas break for school...last week...week of New Years...and we could use the room key....I guess they might be busier in the summer though?!?

Last summer I was told (and saw the hardware being tested out) that allowed your room key to be a Universal Express Pass twice a day. You still got to use the key though.

Thankfully I was there two weeks before that was implemented, I know the Mummy ride by heart and got my suit @ MIB thanks to all the rides I did on those two rides :).

They can set it up anyway they want, and have used different schemes over the last few years. One year it was one swipe per hour, once it was unlimited, etc.
