Batwing Update

Hey guys,
I was surprised by an e-mail from the SF America marketing director today that contained pictures of the construction. I can't post them since they aren't mine, but there is significant progress lately. I would say that it is least 1/3 done. When I was there 2 weeks ago getting my pass processed I saw nothing. Now, there is a a tracked first hill, a tracked helix, and a majority of the supports in place. It looks like vertical construction is just as fast if not faster than the pace they erected X-Flight at.

Construction was also shown on aerial shots shown on Channel 13 in Baltimore this morning. As you said, most of the vertical steel is up, about on third of the track is in place starting with the roll before the helix, continuing through the helix and station to the top of the lift hill. All of the footers appear to be complete.

I'll be sure to take some pics when I go April 12th!
