Paramount Season Pass Question

Here's one for everyone:

I know when using a Cedar Fair pass from one park to another, you have to go to guest services to get a ticket. How does paramount do it? Do you need to go to a guest services window, or can you just walk through the gates ala Six Flags passes?

Just curious for upcoming trips.

I think Paramount is working on the ability to scan other parks season passes. When we went to carowinds this spring, I was able to get in by just showing me PKI Season's Pass. I would say give it a try. The worst they can do is tell you to go to guest services.

You've pointed at one of the few complaints I've ever had about Cedar Fair, having to go to guest services to get in at a sister park.

I always thought Paramount could scan passes though.

*Cedar Fair I have always had to go to Guest Services at Other Parks.
*Paramount I have never tried but I will get the chance Later on this year.
* Six Flags used to vary from park to park, not sure what the policy is now.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

That's strange, I've never had to go to guest services at any other Cedar Fair park. I've always just gone up, showed my pass, and gained admission.

I have a WoF Pass and have always been told at Cedar Point and Valleyfair I have to go through guest services.

I see absolutely no reason why CF and Paramount can't have the same system as SF.

It's a freakin barcoding system in a database. How hard is that to implement?

LOL, Adventure Parks, LLC (CG/WA holding co.) has the barcoded cards, in hard plastic form, for water rides ;), and it gets you into either park with no problem and no stopping by GR...:)

Uh, Six Flags was not wired a couple of years ago when I hit a bunch of parks. At one park I had to go to guest services, another scanned the pass and it failed, but the worker shrugged and let me in.

And really, who cares? I've never encountered a line in the morning at guest services at any of the three major chains.

At PKD, I had to go to the Guests Service window with my PKI pass. At Cedar Point, I had to go through the Guests service room and sign in with my KBF pass.

Jeff, it's just a convenience factor. Never really was a huge deal but when technology allows easier and quicker access, why not put it in?

Because it's an expense that relates to maybe a dozen people a day. I've seen the sign-in lists for pass holders at PKD, Dorney and SFGAm a few years ago, and it's not a lot of people.

^ that's what they always do for me at Cedar Fair parks. I've never had to go through Guest Services, they always just write my name, card number, and the name of the park's pass I own, and send me on in.

When using my Carowinds pass at PKI recently, I had to get a ticket at guest relations after the guy at the gate asked several people and finally a superior. :)
