Coasters Without Restraints

The only one I can think of is Tig'rr (http://www.coasterbuzz.com/coasters/coaster.asp?CoasterID=286) at Indiana Beach. What other ones are there, or are there anymore?

Just curious...Tig'rr is really fun, and no restraints is comfy :)

The Soap Box Racer (RIP:() had no restraints. At least, I don't remember any. It was like a log flume inside.

You're joking right? The CBC had to have had restraints. I've never seen any pics of the trains, but it sure seems absurd that it would not have restraints. BTW, there was one death - an employee stood up.

The Whizzer has a little safety belt. I like it.

When guys sit with girls, the are in the same part, and it is fun ;)

"Roller Coaster" at Blackpool Pleasure Beach has no restraints.

I'm pretty sure CBCyclone had some sort of restraints. Where's my Harry Traver book when you need it?!?!

If you want to get obsessively technical about it, there are no coasters without restraints. There are, however, some coasters and other rides with no active restraints such as Tig'rrr and virtually any log flume. Think about it. On Tig'rrr for instance, there is a seat, it has armrests on both sides, and it uses inline seating almost on the floor of the car, which makes standing difficult anyway. But there is no lap bar, no seat belt, nothing else we normally think of as a rider restraint. But the rider is still, in my opinion, restrained in the vehicle.

Durn...forgot about the guy who stood up. But I'm fairly certain that there were no active restraints...the reason being that I was flabbergasted when I read it. Then again, the CBC seemed to feature way more positive G's than airtime...keeping folks "glued" to their seats...

Does Leap the Dips have any active restraints?

(regarding Leap the Dips)

Unless you count the fixed-position lap bar, no. Which is interesting in that the park announced during the reconstruction that the cars would be equipped with seat belts. There were no belts when I rode!

No Active restraints. Just a bar to hold on to.
And even though Leap the Dips looks "Tame", believe me, when you go around those turns and you fly to the side of the car, you do hold on.

Also, for only having a biggest "drop" ("dip") of 9 feet, you do actually pop out of your seat.

I thought the CBCyclone had mine train style lap bars, just one that went across the entire bench. I'm not too sure either, but I remember that for some reason.

(Getting more excited about Leap-the-Dips with each passing day...)

I shouldn't really have to ask, but what, exactly, are all the restraints on Kennywood's Jack Rabbit? That leather strap, of course...

Would that be a Pinfari Compact Portable? There's one of the same name at Luna Park Tel Aviv Israel without restraints as well. That's plain stupid as a girl stood up in front of me and missed an overhead support by several inches.

Are there any woodies with OTSR's??
