At least they didn't say "It wont be until june" or some thing like that....

I know it is hard for most of you CBers to have a positive outlook for SF and KK but just keeping you up to date

At this point, I don't care when it is rescheduled, as long as it isn't the same week as the Hydra media day. I don't think I'd be able to take off work two days in the same week.

Rumor has that it will be Thursday or Friday (May 5th or 6th). There are currently no major problems. They are just in test and adjust.

At this point I think the delay is just from the headaches that come with trying to get everybody that is involved and invited a date that works. I would hope a new date is set later today or very early next week.

Just kidding, hope you guys have a GREAT time, GAdv is the park I grew up at, and I still make one annual visit at least...:)

It's an Intamin, of course it's not going to work right at first.

SFGadv is just probably waiting for a string of good weather days to get this out of the way. If I'm not mistaken they're saying that KK is 'weather sensitive'.

SteelMonsters, what nerve you have saying that KK not working is Intamin's fault. Everyone at this site knows that anytime a coaster breaks it has to be becuase of Six Flags.

I'm jk everyone I'm not trying to start a bash SF thread I was just amazed to see someone holding the manufacturer responsible. As far as KK media day I hope you have a great time.

It very well might be the manufacturer's fault! Intamin's not exactly got a reputation for developing rides that aren't modified within a few years. Look at the vertical impulses. At least 3 have received added support structure since their opening, and I'm sure the other vertical ones have as well. TTD saw part of its trains be removed. Kingda Ka will enjoy lovely OTSR's when there is no need for them. I think Xcelerator has enjoyed some added supports. Rockets break down every 30 minutes.

I am a huge Intamin fan, but they aren't perfect. They may be responsible for the delay, or they may not. I'm just saying that you should keep an open mind.

sirloindude, it most likely is the Intamins fault. I was being sarcastic, which is why i said i was jk. You are right however that B&M never screws up.

I was afraid you were. I just couldn't tell. I must complement you on your ability to disguise it, though.

Maybe someday Intamin will put just a little more effort into really getting things right the first time.

Oh, yes, B&M does screw up. Any engineering firm screws up, but most of them do it before their product is actually produced. Most *quality* firms, that is.

Engineering is often trial and error. What makes a good engineer, however, is making sure the errors are on paper, not out in the real world.

B&M screwed up when they designed their standup restraints. As for the rest of the time, when B&M grows the you-know-whats to build something as cool as what Intmain builds, then we will see how well they do.
