Well, the lowest amount of negative G's would probably be the Schwarzkopf coasters, because some of them pull between 5-6 POSITIVE G's. :P

But in all seriousness, nobody really knows all the G force stats for every coaster. They are not easy to come by. From the accident report on SROS at SFNE I think that coaster pulls -1.2 or -1.4 in spots. That's really the only coaster I know of that has factual information available about the G forces.

They mention the amount of negative g's in the ads for PowderKeg which is the first time I have seen those figures in an ad before.

I don't think any coaster goes near -2g's. I'd say a little over -1G is all you are going to get. There may be some woodies that pull a bit more, but again I don't know any stats for a fact.

I heard (not that I beleive) that when that girl died on the raven it was said that Raven pulled up to -2 g's. The drop is one of the best in existance with some of the best airtime out there but I don't beleive it has that much.

Colossus, in the "old days" (where IS that thread when I need it?) used to pull -2g on the double down....SOME people here even got to ride it like that.....bastrads! ;)

And if the woman had her restraints on, she wouldn't have came out no matter what. Honestly they proved that if she hadn't been standing to begin with she wouldn't have.

I know of no woodies designed to go below 0g and there are only a couple steel that I think may be below 0g. SFNE's S:ROS is one of them.

I highly doubt anything aproaches anywhere near -1g as RavenTTD posted -0.2 is probably the max out there.

-Collosus, the Double Down(Extinct now)

I'd imagine one of these would take the top spot, and generally the force is much harsher on these types of drops in the back seat.

I disagree. I think most of Intamins hyper/giga coasters come close to -1G in the front and back. Expedtion GeForce especially. B&M is probably a bit less, but even Nitro - which is not known for the greatest airtime - has to pull at least -.5g's in the front and back. Maybe even more.

Wouldn't a coaster need to go below 0 to lift you off your seat? I don't know but that's what it sounds like to me.

Exactly. 0G is weightlessness - floater air. It would not push you against your restraint, but rather just give you that "butterflies" feeling.

About the KBF Hydro - I would say that most modern coasters pull at least -1G on the first drop. Nitro, MF, SROS, Goliath, Titan etc. All those major coasters whip you over with some intense force in the backseat.

It's odd how Big Dipper at Geauga Lake always seems to get over looked, but I had serious ejector air on it in 2003. I'd like to know what it measures. Best operating wood in Ohio IMO.

I'd second that on Raven, GA Cyclone, and Cyclops's "the drop".

I can't tell ya the Gforce, but you definately picked a great coaster at a totally awsome park in which I'm going to spend most of my summer at.

My vote goes to Goliath at Walibi World/Holland - massively pulled me toward the sky on that first airtime hill.
I'm not sure how much, but it must have been close or above -1.0 G... it really felt like the world would be upside down- - absoltely extreme.
When I was riding it they almost launched the train into that first drop ejecting you all the way into the first valley.
Certainly more extreme than EGF - but I'm not sure how it compares to the Intamin Supermans in the U.S

The racing coaster, Montana Rusa in Mexico City pull's -1.0 Gs on 3rd hill (and some people have claimed lower than that even). I've also heard of this hill being called "The Wall" since it's such a huge steep hill. In the mid 90's, CCI did some work on this coaster, and that's when I heard the -1.0 figure.

This ride is very similar to Colossus (SFMM) in design (it was built by IAD while Colossus was built by NAD). I believe it held the record as the tallest coaster in the world for a few years at least. It was built in 1964 and stands 110' high.

The strongest negative G's I've felt has to be on SROS at SFNE.

I’ve heard That skyrush used to hit -2.1 g’s before they added some trims. I went on it before they added them and it was brutal
