I loved Dollywood. I went for the very first time in December, and I could see it becoming one of my favorite, if not my favorite, park period. The staff was so friendly, food was so good, and the coasters, even with just 3, were all great (okay, Blazing Fury was only just Good:)).
I can't wait to go back this summer, I'm trying my best to talk my parents into going with me when I go this time, as I'm sure they'd really enjoy it. The park was a lot like Souther WV, where I live, and I loved it. Just like being home.
Dollywood is giving away the gate- but not to make more money, but to thank the guests who visit it, which, IMO, is the best way to do it.
Pardon our dust...Signature is building for your future enjoyment!

How do they do it? Some of the best customer service in the industry (listen up SFI...).
Why do you think Wal-Mart thrives? They give the customer what they want. Now tell me they're in it to give jobs to the community (which they provide, with a lot of other nice things)...
Char, I'm from Welch, McDowell County, about an hour from either Beckly or Bluefield :).
