There will be major restrictions on the Edison Bridge (aka Sandusky Bay Bridge) on Rt. 2.
I guess I will be paying my tolls on the turnpike this summer.
Just a heads up to all you coaster freaks.
SFDLdan, the Edison Bridge is farther west than CP, so if you're coming from Buffalo, it won't affect you. I always take 90 to 2 to Rye Beach Road from Rochester. I agree that there is always that long stretch on 90 right after you get into Ohio that has been one lane for two seasons now! :)

Cedar Point recommends taking Interstate 71 to Route 250. Not only does that route take longer, it's also a huge pain, because 250 turns onto different roads about a dozen times, so you really have to watch the signs. Also, it's hillier - less opportunity to pass. Routes 98 and 4 are flat as pancakes.
I should have specified that it will only effect those of us who use Rte 2 heading east into Sandusky.
Just look at the site...it may be more useful than you think. At least Ohio's construction update is much more informative than Michigan's.
Frankly, I'd rather deal with the Edison Bridge construction on Rt 2 except word is they are closing 280 sometime in mid to the end of May and it will remain closed until the bridge over the river is completed in 2006. I'm sure there are other routes that will take one to Rt 2.
I also read they will be doing "barrier wall painting" on 75 between the Michigan border and 280 with lane closures.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
