Living in the south rules!

Wahoo, I just got invited to friends night, tonight at AW. It's a test run before the season offically kicks off tomorrow.

YES, I get to start my season off March 3.

The south does have it's advantages!

Cool. This will be the first year since 1999 that we didn't visit a park by the end of March :(

We'll make up for it this summer though. ;)

Agreed. Going to SFFT and Sea World on Saturday.

Then again, living in SoCal or Florida is even better. Save for the natural disasters...

My season will never 'start' that early. But that's only because it never ended here in SoCal! Mmmmwwaaaa haaaaa haaaaa!

Amazingly, they let us Yankees who live here in the frozen tundra get on these big metal birds called "air-o-plains" and *fly* to those places!

This year will actually be the first year I'm starting my Coaster season before April.

I'm looking forward to Solace :)

Not unless Mother Nature snows those "air-o-planes" in like what happened at Cleveland this week. ;)

Meh, I'm content waiting a little while to ride some rides... besides, living in the PA/NJ/MD/VA area has it's advantages this year..pretty much any of the major parks in those states are at least getting something, many getting rides that some might consider "must try" attractions for 2005...

I have to agree with Coaster Lover. As someone who has recently located back here to Southcentral PA from South Carolina, I am absolutely thrilled to be back in a region that is such a hub of park activity. I enjoyed the parks in the south, but man did I have to drive to get to them. The only drive I will miss is the 6-7 hour drive to Orlando/Tampa. Gonna have to fly now. Heck, the coaster season for me up here is going to begin soon enough. Probably going to finally get to ride the Cyclone at Astroland in a couple of weeks and the Virginia parks will be open soon as well.

Just got back. What a thrill to have my coaster fix in.

I know there are a lot of Astroworld haters but I promise the parks looks wonderful. These folks here have been very busy on the off season. You can visually see a lot of clean up work. It feels ssoooo very good!

And I not a fan boy. I call em like I see em.

Yes, I kicked off my 2005 season with a bang at SFAW Friday night and Saturday and was BLOWN AWAY! (not that I ever had a problem with SFAW to begin with).

The park was spotless, employees went out of their way to be extremely friendly, re-rides were allowed when there were empty seats, and EVERY coaster in the park capable of running two trains was doing so!

I could not have asked for better operations than that!

And any park with a killer woodie and TWO Anton Schwarzkopf classics is WORLD CLASS in my book ;)
