Did anyone catch this movie on USA last night around midnight? I know it was a replay from the 9pm showing. The boy can see death before it comes and he keeps going back to this amusment park with a coaster called The Bullet. Its an old school woodie. Does anyone know what coaster it was? Movie is pretty decent but he keeps going back to the park in his memories.

Thanks,
DMC

Maybe?

Nevermind, look at that one below, the Gerstlauer's look more plastic-y than the one in the movie shot.

Sorry...

Coaster @ Playland in Vancouver, BC woudl be the coaster in that pic.

How'd I know? Well, i Googled the movie, went to the official site of the movie (suprise), clicked on "Shootin the Bullet", then clicked on "Shooting Thrill Village", both on the navigation in the top left hand side of the site.

Got to see a decent doc on making the shots.

Time spent finding out? Five min., tops. That includes going to RCDB for that pic to confirm.

Remember, Google and hard work are your friends;).

I could tell from the trains, but then I've ridden it so I had an advantage ;)

Vancouver is like the new Hollywood. That ride has been filmed countless times. I think it may have been in a recent episode of Smallville too, because I think they film in Vancouver.

Who made those trains?

Tekno, I googled but didn't come up with anything that good. Just a few reviews :(

IIRC the trains are by the coaster's designer, Carl Phare. They resember P&C but they are not.

My favorite was Rumble in the Bronx. NYC with majestic mountains in the background? ;)

God that was an Awful movie. Jackie Chan is so much better than that.

The trains on Coaster were, as I understand it, copies of Prior & Church trains, built for the coaster by the late Walker LeRoy. Walker also restored the Prior & Church trains on Funtastic's Coaster at the fairgrounds in Puyallup. Ermmm...I think the ACE article I read indicates that one of the Puyallup trains is a Prior & Church and one is a copy or something like that. Either way, Walker LeRoy's fingerprints are all over both of those coasters.

Who missed out on meeting both Walker LeRoy and Mr. Bollinger...
