Why are soo many posts deleted on this board.
Hey now, I've had many posts deleted in the time that I have posted on this site and GTTP. Don't take it personally, it's just in the best interests on keeping on the subject. Sometimes they are deleted because of being asked to death. The moderators have their reasons for deleting posts. And don't feel like it's only your posts that are being deleted.

Points 3 & 4 are true for the most part. We try to keep this site as organized and as fun as possible, while keeping offensive material from appearing on this site. As it has been stated before, this is a family site, therefore, we do not tolerate obscene or offensive language/posts.
Topics do have a tendancy of straying away from the subject at hand. This causes the forums to become rather messy and disorganized, again, we are just trying to keep this site organized and fun!
Playing favorites: Not really sure what you mean here.
Disagreeing with us = deleted posts: Not true, if you have a reply to a post that you do not agree with, by all means post your feelings. If your objection to a particular topic has merit, that is fine. BUT - If your post has objectional wording, really bad grammar and spelling, or if your intentions are to start a flame-war (i.e., yur park sux) then you can bet on that topic coming to a swift close.
Also, if a thread is started on a subject that is currently under discussion in another catagory, or has been debated to death before, may also be deleted or moved. This is again, how we keep things organized and fun.
Unlike thousands of other discussion boards out on the internet, we work hard to bring you clean, organized fun!! So enjoy, and please do not take personal offense if you find your topic closed

I have never had a post deleted and those people monitoring these boards do a very good job of keeping up the quality. If this site turned in to one with foul language, name calling, child stuff I would never come back. There are plenty of places on the internet to be crude, sloppy, and redundant, hopefully this will never be one of those places.

Neil pretty much nailed it. This forum, as well as the one on GTTP, are not intended to be a free-for-all. These are moderated forums, and it is our intention to keep a clean shop that is not redundant, vulgar or ugly. Neil's fourth 'graph is right on.
People can disagree all they want, but if the thread degrades in to a pissing match or flame war, you can bet it'll be gone next time you visit. If you think it's personal, don't flatter yourself, I, and the rest of the moderators, don't have that kind of time on our hands.
Think of it as noise reduction. I like to think that we run a tight ship here, and it's the reason that the membership has grown so rapidly. In less than four months the site is able to support itself (instead of relying on GTTP's revenue). If you don't like the idea of a moderated forum, I respectfully invite you to participate in Usenet's rec.roller-coaster or any number of Web-based forums.

Heh... I saw the posts on URC and it's just one idiot who was complaining. If you read his posts I think you'd understand why we deleted the posts he made. Dude can't even form a complete readable sentence. I didn't ban him until he sent me e-mail with various four letter words in it.
