Nascar Coaster Commerical

Hey everyone, last night I was watching the Vikings and the Packers game. During the commerical break they had an ad for nascar. The commerical had a POV of a wooden coaster at the beginning and a shot of some wooden roller coaster at the end. Has anyone else seen this commerical?

No, but I've seen that instant classic of the Michael Vick Expirence. I wanted to ride that so bad. Looks like a blast!

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.

That commercial was pretty cool. If only they could really race on a track like a coaster. I could see it. "He doesn't have enough speed going through the loop." Nice commercial though.

The NASCAR commercial make the Michael Vick Experience look like a Merry-Go-Round.

Great game by the Vikings by the way, I hate GB, anyways, the commercial was sweet, I was telling my wife if they could build a coaster like that, that would be intense (Nascar cars on a 4-6 lane track), wowsers.

I saw that commercial during football too. I thought it was a neat concept for a commercial.

The funny thing is, as soon as I saw that commercial, I instantly knew it would become posted here. Wow, am I pyschic or what? ;) *** Edited 1/10/2005 7:21:32 PM UTC by Coasterbuzzer***

I'm sure if you keep watching FOX you should have no trouble seeing it. It was basically a promo for the Daytona 500 in Feb.

I want to see the Philip Rivers Experience. Constant pacing the sidelines, watching Drew Brees take the Chargers to the playoffs...

Having not seen the commercial, I'm inclined to ask: Does anyone know what coaster the footage was shot from? (I'm also a little surprised no one asked in this thread yet :) )

Though it was made to look like a roller coaster, the absence of up-stops makes it technically more of a Mt. Olympus Park-esque go-kart track. Nit-pickiness aside, the entire thing looked computer generated to me. But maybe I wasn't paying attention well enough for the first few seconds.

IIRC, it was a computer generated coaster that was part woodie, part mega-looper. I'm pretty sure I saw wood track and steel track (not just steel structure).

It did look pretty nifty, though.

I want to live where it's all the same. I want to live where it's all just like today. I want to live where it's always Saturday.

I was being sarcastic Talon, I also read that on ESPN and got a kick out of it, if I knew how to put smiley's up that might have helped.

As much as I'd hate to see the Hurricane go, if they redevelop the MB Pavillion, aren't they planning on a real NASCAR coaster?
