Well with day two of our Floridan Adventure, sis and I headed out to SWF. Again the day threatened of rain so upon entering the park we made a bee-line straight to Kraken. Sis didnt want to ride the very front or the very back so for our tw rides we first sat in the next to last row and then in the next to front (i.e. second :)) row. First let me add to other reports that the floorless effect is lost in any row except the front. In any case, I felt like Kraken was the most well engineered coaster that I have been on. One thing that I really liked about it was that it naturally comes to a crawl for the midcourse break run. That way, the brakes not even need to touch the train. Also, there are a couple of spots of airtime. Not ejector air, mind you, but some nice sustained float. I can understand why some might say it is "forceless". The forces seem to be calculated to only reach a certain level. But those levels caused me considerable pleasure! Kraken is now my favorite multi-element looping coaster, just ahead of its floorless brother B:KF.
Also at Sea World, we checked out the Wild Artic Simulator (nice ride) and went to the Anheisuer-Busch Beer School (free beer samples!). Even though it was raining, we didnt get on Journey to Atlantis (dont ask me why...). But instead took in several shows the most notable of which were the Cirque de la Mer show and the Clyde and Seamore sea lion show which was funny in a corny way. By the time the Clyde show was over, it was raining really hard so we decided to call it a day. Funny, we went all the way to SWF and never saw Shamu. Oh well, maybe next time...
