Tearing Apart Steel Force for Hydra?

I'm looking at the Dorney Park Webcam, showing construction on Hydra & noticed that the section of track for Steel Force's helix is missing. It looks like the area in which the second and final flatspin are. Are my eyes playing tricks on me?

From this earlier photo it doesn't look like Hydra will interact with Steel Force, just come close to it. I doubt they'd have to remove any piece of SF but I could be wrong. I'd bet its an illusion....for now ;)

This happens every year. They take Steel Force apart and put into storage to protect it over the winter.

If you look, there's a path going under that section of track. I'd guess that the section of track had to be removed to get some taller pieces of construction equipment back to the area of Hydra that they are currently working on.

Is it that absurd to think that they removed a section of SF to get a crane, or what have you, back in that corner?

Everything is just bolted together... right?

As any other coaster track been temporary removed while a new coaster is being built?

I'm pretty sure Kennywood took out a section of Thunderbolt to build Phantom's Revenge.

^ Yeah, they did. They probably just took off a piece so the crane could move around or something. But it does for sure look like they removed part of SF.

Just a note, that picture was taken on 10/3, when the park was still open and SF was running. The track is intact.

Who knows, Very interesting indeed, I imagine everything would be put back together "eventually!" lol! ;)

in regards to millrace's comment earlier, about taking Steel Force apart to protect from winter...since there was no wink or "lol" im going to assume you were being honest. and to that...i have to say, why in the world would they take apart a coaster to protect it from winter? arent rides built to withstand the elements?

if you were indeed being sarcastic, i apologize...next time some indication that you are joking.....if you were serious, trust me.....parks do not dismantle coasters to keep them from the weather, lol.

You know, I thought Steel Force seemed like a really short ride during Halloweekends. Not to mention the really loooooooooooooooooong walk to get back in line again.
