Need BeastBuzz 2005 date feedback

I'm starting to book 2005 events, and I'd like some feedback on a date for BeastBuzz.

We did it a little later this year since we figured a lot of you might be in the state for the ACE con, and to my surprise, it wasn't nearly as crowded as I expected for late June. So I guess the question is, what's best? Keep in mind that there's always the possibility that Italian Job will have some bugs to work out, so certainly later is probably better.

Also, provided that I can build it in time, I think we'll have online registration only. You'll still be able to send a check, but the actual process of entering your information will be online only. Is that a problem? Kind of makes sense for a club based online. :)

As long as it isn't July 16th, I'm there.

The 2005 ACE Coaster Con is at SFGAm and WI Dells next year, so I think the last weekend could work like last year, but probably isn't the best based on the drive.

If you're thinking about scheduling it in tandem with another event, what about Coastermania? The only problem with that is if you have it on Saturday, that's one heck of a haul from Sandusky to Cincy. However, we've done that before.

Personally, I'd say just pick a weekend that already isn't scheduled for another coaster event. I'll be there :) *** Edited 10/19/2004 7:10:27 PM UTC by ShiveringTim***

June is fine with me. I wouldn't be so happy with July though. Whenever it is, I will be there though unless it falls during one of my other trips. Online registration will be great.

I think June would definitely be best for BeastBuzz. Any ideas on where CBC might be yet? I would love the do SFGAm again, but something new (another excuse to be in the Hershey/Dorney/GAdv area??) might be more interesting.

Anything but the weekend of June 25th. I am leaving the ranks of bachelorhood behind.

How about sometime in October to coincide with the park's Fear Fest? :-)

Hmmm. June 2005 is a bit off at this point to say anything 100%, but if I had to make an educated guess:

May: Any weekend but Memorial Day weekend

June: preferrably the 4th, but the 25 might be do-able. The 11th and 18th are probably definite no-go's - however that's easily far enough off that if you got a set date by spring, I could just switch plans around.

July and beyond: I'm open :)

Online registration actually sounds easier to me.

Online registration is not a bad idea. I'll try to make it next year, whenever it is.

You won't see me coming...

Online only? bad idea. I hope non-CBuzz club members could still apply

I also vote for a fall event! That would be awesome.

I would say July or Auguest due to the fact that they may have trouble with the effects and such of the new coaster and may need time to get it working right.

My vote goes for June (NOT the day after CMania) or a fall event.

Why? What's the difference between filling out information online and printing, writing and snail mailing?

Indeed. Any chance to avoid the U.S. Postal Service is a good idea. Welcome to the 21st century, pkidelirium. *** Edited 10/20/2004 2:02:40 AM UTC by Vater***

If I am able to go, I would like to see it in June again, but a fall event would be awesome.

I would also prefer the online registartion over the current.

Echo! If CBC is at one of these parks, I'll be there without question.

Although I've never attended, Beastbuzz does sound like a load of fun. If I'm still in the area, I'll probably make it.

June sounds fine to me.

razore86,

I would hope that if they had problems they would be able to fix them by August. They would have been open 3 months by then. I doubt PKI would have any problems that would take more then a couple weeks to fix. But then again, I know nothing of this stuff.

The Online registration is a great idea. I was wondering why we have not had it for previous events.

The date last year worked out well. The first couple weeks of July might be a bad idea though, as many people are busy or on vacation over the July 4th week/weekend. As long as the event is not the week of the 4th, I will be attending.

I am already looking forward to attending my 4th PKI/Coasterbuzz event.

I hope we will once again have a scavenger hunt similar to this years ('04). I had a great time even though we did not win anything. 36 of 40 was just not good enough.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

I will be doing the same thing tambo is doing on the 25th of June... just doing it to a different lady. For me to be in attendance, it would have to be a date other than the 25th.
