SGgadv...Chiller Blue/Batman Side status..inside tip

hey fellow buzzers....just got a tip from a very reliable source that asks to remain nameless; the blue/Batman side of Batman and Robin:The Chiller, the incredible Premier LIM coaster there at Gadv, will commence testing this week, weather permitting, after being down since last season. my source tells me the LIMs on the tower are finally operational, and if all goes well with testing this week, Chiller Blue will finally reopen this Friday, after a long hiatus. so be sure to head to the park this weekend if you are able!

Thats funny, I rode blue this year.

Ummm ok when I see this in photos or in person...I'll believe you then! Then again...it's the 1.5 year anniversary of my girlfriend and I on Sunday...so perhaps Sunday night we'll head to SFGadv and check it out for ourselves! ;)

Lol...well we're young, madly in love...besides, we usually only keep track of big ones (.5, 1, 1.5, 2, etc)...but occasionally she'll tell me it's our 1 year, 5 month anniversary or whatever...I'll just say "oh yeah!" Still haven't talked to her yet tonight, will have to see whether the plan flies with her or not...

I imagine it might ;)

So the 24.0 month/2.0 year anniversary will be celebrated at Halloween Horror Nights at USF/IOA? Lucky you. Why wasn't my question asking about how Keith could put up with you for so long? ;)

I rode Batman side earlier this summer also.

Batman Chiller was open early in the season. I rode it in May. That's awesome news if it really is going to reopen this year.

If this is true, then I'm impressed that they're making an effort to open it for the last few weeks of the season. Hopefully this leads to less downtime in the future.

Early in the season, Batman & Robin were both running at the same time. If hell didn't freeze over, it was at least a little chilled. (yeah, bad pun).

oh, i didnt realize it was open this spring....well regardless, it will hopefully reopen friday according to my source....lets hope hes right....

although me personally, i think Robin is far superior :)

The batman side of the chiller was open for about 1 month this year. It's suppose to open this or next weekend. Looks more like next since the LIMs are still missing from the spike

Isn't this the 1.5 year anniversary of the Batman side being closed?

Batman side of chiller still had a crane over the upper LIMs and the ride did not appear to be testing on Wednesday during the Kingda Ka Announcement. I checked it out while on Nitro. It appeared that not all of the LIMs were in place.

Work was under way, but I don't believe this friday is a do-able thing

I love the Top Hat SOOOOO much, that if this sucka is ready for the PPP trip, I'll make sure to make a *special trip* out to ride.

Now, the important question: After the extended downtime, do we re-tag the ride a) "The Return of the Dark Knight", or b) "Batman's Revenge".....
