SFOG's Canyon Blaster

Why hasn't SFOG's Canyon Blaster opened yet? The summer season is practically over. Are they just waiting to have something "new" to advertise for 2005's season?

Seriously, for the majority of the people that allready missed it this season, it will be new in for their visit in 2005. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is testing but have no idea why it isn't open yet. When it does open, all I can say is better late than never as it looks like a great family coaster.

In April I heard Radio ads in Hotlanta for the five new family rides including the coaster.

It'll probably open sooner than Clementon's Tsunami, which is now forever testing. At least at SFOG they have plenty of coasters to keep you busy, plus the Halloween season to go. It's sad for Clementon which was probably expecting a huge financial windfall from Tsunami. To be fair, we don't know who is at fault for the SFOG ride's late opening. It could easily have been that Chance-Morgan wasn't ready to deliver the project until later than expected. It also wouldn't surprise me to hear the ride was signed for late in the off-season.

From what I know, it's *not* SF's fault for the late opening. Too bad it's been delayed so long, too, it looks like one really fun coaster for the families!

Considering you also think there will be a pre-lift inversion on Hydra I'm not sure we should put so much stock in your "from what I know." ;)

Well isn't this becomming a trend fo SF parks to open a ride late season. I was suprised that S:UF open in april, but then again that was a Beemer!

I heard Six Flags decided to modify the ride from what Chance-Morgan was going to give them, and now it doesn't make it around the circuit... due to SF's changes... so I guess it is SF's fault.

Didn't we already come to the conclusion that *everything* was Six Flags’ fault? ;)

Heck, I blame hurricane charley on them!! ;)

They took all the money earmarked for keeping flashback open and customer service good, and built a top secret weather machine. The plan was to take out Boomers, BGT, and Disney in one foul swoop, therefore making SFOG the top park in the region.
