A Noah's Ark question????

I just read a article about Noah Ark's and the article mentioned a 15 minute indoor experience. What is this experience??? I have never heard about this before and havent been to the park in several years.

It's basically a walk through sort of mild fun house.

Are we talking about Kennywood's Noah's Ark, or the haunted swing at Noah's Ark waterpark?

Hmmm...I'm confused also. Noah's Ark at Kennywood has been there for how many years? Jim gave a pretty good description of what it is, but it is so much more than that also. There are essentially four different sections to the walk-through. Fifteen minutes sounds about right for the whole attraction. It sounds like you have already read a more detailed description of the attraction.

I'm guessing he means the waterpark. I went on it. It's dumb. It's a wimpy indoor flatride where you feel like your on a topspin with only the carriage moving and not the arms. The ride itself is like 2 minutes long and the rest of it is boring.

Ok Kyle, now I know what we are talking about (I believe). Is this a Vekoma Mad House (Houdini's Great Escape at SFNE and SFGadv. are examples)? Seating on either side, with a single lap bar for each section of the rows? Im talking about Noah's Ark at Wisc. Dells. It was in a article about how the weather is affecting business and it was mentioned as an escape from cool/wet weather. *** Edited 7/27/2004 6:05:06 PM UTC by Bob O***

I think they are referring to the thing that kyle is talking about. It was really boring and yes, the actual ride is only about 2 minutes long. You sit down and the whole carriage rocks back and forth while the room spins around you. Not too exciting or anything. The rest of the "ride" is just basically walking around in a dark museum type room that tells about noah and his ark.

Check out my trip report here for a discription. They added a little mirror maze at the end this year and I think the ride is a bit more wilder. I have to say I have a little bit more of a favorable view of the ride. Enjoy your trip!

Would this then be similar to The Houdini Ride at SFGAdv. I thought that was pretty cool,

Your trip report gave me the idea for my trip Touchdown. :)

But anyway, the ride, if anything, is less wilder, the maze is dumb, and I personally would have rather had 3 or 4 slides put in, compared to a dark ride that they shouldn't even have.

It's time that Noah's Ark realizes they aren't a themepark by any means and that a dark ride like the one they put in, just doesn't have a place there.

Leave dark rides to people who know what there doing, like Disney for example.

Leave Noah's Ark to the water rides. Something they are very good at creating.

Yes, I was right. It is a Vekoma Mad House.

No, it's actually a Mack Mystery Swing - same basic ride, just not built by Vekoma.
