I thought the S&S prototype went on to become Dodonpa, not Hypersonic? Wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong though...

No PKD confirmed during construction (went on a Construction tour way back when) that Hypersonic is a heavily modified version of the prototype.

The changed the angle on both sides of the tower, had the drop pull out 15' up, and added the extra track.

So Hypersonic is the prototype plus - how's that for confusing issue? :)

That would be called the production prototype, as opposed to the R & D prototype, the latter which the GP never rode.

not sure if this makes sense, but isn't a screaming squirrel at the utah factory a R&D prototype, and didn't they invite many locals and GP to ride it?

If so, they didn't pay to ride it. That's the difference.

So, do you think that Huss had a working model at a factory somewhere of the Giant Top Spin before installing the permanent one at PKI?

Nah bruh, I think Schwarzkopf did tire driven launches before Universal.
