I found the front of Storm Runner better than the back. The ejector air in the front over the top hat is insane.

The park was pretty busy the day (Sunday) we were there and we didn't wait more than 30 minutes for SR. Waited about 30 minutes for Great Bear but most other rides were walk-on to 15 minutes. As Ed would say, a lot of Hershey's guests ride BTR (bench the ride).

15 - 30 minutes, a full queue is about 35 with 2 trains, the extra queue outside the regular queue when it goes toward the train tracks is about an hour. front seat rocks add about an extra 20 minutes for a front seat ride if the front seat queue is filled. I think Storm Runner usually opens an hour or so late everyday.

Thanks,

During the week it is hit or miss depending on the crowds. Sometimes they have a lot of groups(I have noticed a lot of various church groups) and the park will be pretty crowded.

Other days during the week it isn't very crowded. Wednesday and Thursday are usually pretty good days to visit.

Last Thursday afternoon we went for a little, and everything was pretty much a walk on. Storm Runner had maybe a 20 minute wait for the back, and 40 for the front. I didn't head up near the Great Bear to check that out.

As others have stated Storm Runner, The Comet and the Great Bear usually have the longest waits.

Its amazing how many people that visit Hershey don't actually ride much, or they bring their children so that they can ride. I have seen days when there were more people watching Storm Runner than there were in the quene.

It's going to rain that day, Moosh. You lucked out. Average wait time will be 5.34 minutes. The longest line will be for The Herniator, a giant woodie the park will introduce in 2017. You'll wait approximately 12.6 minutes for your back seat ride on that one.

It's a Wendsday Moosh. I'll put in for a day off so I can meet up with you. I think that should be plenty of time to get the day off. :)

Won't Hershey be out of room for rides by then?

Hershey's not out of room for rides, you just have to look around for space. There's a large plot of land that starts at Lightning Racer (at the turnaround) by Roller Soaker, and continues across the walkway to the other side. There's also the plot of land across from the middle of Lightning Racer, where the laser show is now (I know what you're thinking, "They'll never remove the laser show", well Dorney Park did a few years ago to put in Meteor).

Mamoosh, have you been to Hershey? One could definitely get the impression that they're out of room for new rides. They are practically landlocked on all sides. I don't think they were being sarcastic, and if they were, I didn't catch it.

Yes, I have been to Hersheypark and saw plenty of room for rides, especially in the newer sections of the park. But as Storm Rummer taught us they still have room in the older section of the park, too.

Who knows what the future will bring.

My guesses (nothing more, nothing less):

- Land across Hersheypark Drive (where the old airport used to be) could be used (now used for special events and overflow parking for special events)

- There are some parking areas around the stadium and Hersheypark Arena that could possibly be used, especially since the non park focus has now shifted from HP Arena to GIANT Center.

- Further off... who knows what the future of the old Arena is now that GIANT Center is there. While I would hate to see the old "Barn" go... if it would eve make sense for the bottom line to see it replaced, who knows. *** Edited 6/30/2004 2:50:36 PM UTC by SLFAKE***

You too? Get out of here!

Does the Coasterbuzz Meeting Calendar go that far into the future?

Not to worry... it's already marked on my calendar and I am glad to say that I have nothing else going on that day!

Nah, they could build a coaster that goes through the factory. Unlimited possibilities there...
