You're either missing the codec for playing that type of file or it has been corrupted. Try running windows update and downloading the codecs again. The update will be in the Windows section of the results of the scan.

well it cant have been too serious, as i was there the following day and they had 2 trains operating.

Ah, but there have been no deaths on Six Flags Fiesta Texas' Poltergeist, so I'm going to have to argue that such curses are not legally bound to marketing and promotional agreements.

Just hope it doesn't do that when I'm there next week. As you guys have said it wasn't a wheel, but it really does look like a wrench or something. Sure it could have fallen off anywhere, but maybe it was wedged under the harness or something and the roll finally knocked it off.

Do you honestly think that one missing wheel is going to toss the train off track? I think not.....it is totally possible for a train to still run w/o one wheel. It's a safety thing ;).

Here's another theory: what fell off wasn't on the train but resting on the box-beam of the track, possibly near the edge, or on one of the cross-ties. Vibrations caused by the train as it rolled by cause the object -- probably a tool -- to move closer to the edge and fall off. It merely LOOKED like it came from the train. That would explain how it was able to sucessfully make two more circuits.

That theory could be true Moosh but can you explain why any maintenance worker would place any tool along that section of track?

Usually maintenance perform most inspections & repairs on the brakerun,lift or station areas,not out on the active track,except for a sensor check...but there probably are no block sensors located on the inline roll section of track on S:UF at all.

I didn't watch any of the video so I'm not familiar with where this happened. I was merely suggesting an alternative scenario.

Another problem with that theory (the tool falling from that section) is that the object flew forward with a good deal of velocity before hitting the support. If something had simply fallen because of the vibrations of a passing train then it most likely would have fallen straight down, rather than forward. I can't blow the image up enough to clearly see what the object was, but it is long and flat, very much like a wrench. I think it most likely that a tool was left on the train and that it somehow managed to hang on until that point. I'm no expert however, so I guess we may never know for sure.

Which is probably why it would have been a good idea for me to watch the video ;)

Goodness. We're still speculating about something that happened two weeks ago, that didn't really affect anyone? Is it the offseason already? ;)

I think we all can rule out a prosthetic limb. :)

My guess would be a tool. If it was part of the train I would think they would have either closed that row or removed that train from service.

Well I was there yesterday, and it was fine. Both trains were running efficiently, however one of the trains closed off seats, makin them 3 seat rows insead of 4. Btw, I kno this is REALLY off topic, but what is the song played during the video?

I however doubt you will find that exact mix of course.

If the tool was above the car (in that plastic piece between the cars) it could have lasted nearly the entire ride on it if the plastic piece has a rim around it. Looking at this picture I have to assume that they do. If this is true that first bang you heard could have been the tool hitting the track and that collision causing the tool to be launched sideways out into view.
