SFGAm employee dies from ride accident injuries

Not much info yet, happend on the Ragin cajun may 29.

That would explain the post over on SFGAm.com that some of the members said they weren't to discuss, I wondered what happened.

Oddly enough, I was there on May 29. Drove up from Nashville and about halfway to Chicago I decided to stomp on the gas and try to get to SFGAm before they closed in hopes of riding something, anything. I made it to the park 30 mins before close and immediately headed for Ragin' Cajun to see if it had opened for the season. Thankfully it had, and I got in line. While waiting my turn, I overheard some teenage guys in the queue talking about a guy who got thrown from a coaster and thought surely I must be mishearing them talking about RC. I presumed it was about SFNE's Superman, but then one of the guys said, "Yeah I was standing right here by the fence and saw it all. It was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen." I kept thinking my ears were deceiving me because I figured if it had happened on RC the ride would be closed. I got my ride and wandered around the park before leaving and overheard a few other people talking about it. Weird...I still thought my ears were deceiving me and hadn't thought anything else about it until this post. The ride remained open the next 2 days I was at the park.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

The employee was not thrown from the ride, the people you overheard must not have seen everything.

This is very sad, and my condolences go out to the family of the man, and to everyone at the park who knew and worked with him.

This is really odd. The accident happened weeks ago, the guy just died and this is the first the public is hearing about this? Not to mention the fact that the article contained NO details about the accident? Something is really fishy here.

It seemed the park kept it from the media when the incident first occured. Of course, leaks get out. Talk was back when it happened that it was a ride maintenance employee.

It's sad that he passed away.

Today, a helicopter was hovering around the park. Probably explains why it was there.
