Mike,

You have outdone yourself buddy. I really, really enjoyed reading this.

Thanks, Sean! That means a lot to me, coming from you. Your trip reports are always great reads.

We share some similar feelings towards rides you mentioned. However, I honestly loved Desert Storm. Yes, it is a very strange ride but I love unique rides. I didn't find it to be painful but I know others who have.

Honestly, it may have just been 11-day trip exhaustion, plus being in the middle of an 11-hour drive. Add in the 109-degree Phoenix heat and C & C's kind of half-assed operations and I agree I may not have been in the most objective of moods. ;-) I didn't find it painful, just kind of jarring and wrong. Zonga does almost the same thing on the last loop but pulls it off a lot more gracefully.

It sounds as if you guys are as insane as Jeff and I am.

We're getting there!

Scott, DO go....and take plenty of people with you...

I promised David L (regional rep) that at least 10 more people would come to FiestaFest '05 than came this year, and I haven't done my part (yet!) to ensure that it happens...but I'm TRYING...;)

Seriously, SFFT is themed (and staffed) miles ahead of most other parks in the chain, it's THAT good. And San Antonio has SO much else to offer (SWSA, Riverwalk, Alamo, SCHLITTERBAHN) that it's really worth a week all on its own.

But you'll want to get to the *original* SF park too...and you'll be VERY glad you did. And, since you're already IN Dallas, there's NO way to leave the city without a stop at Sandy Lake...:)

Ooh! Ooh! I wanna go! I haven't been to Bells since 1994 and lately I've had this overwhelming urge to ride Zingo! ;)

Your right Gator...I live in San Antonio so SFFT and Sea World SA are my home parks. SFFT is really well themed and well staffed by SF standards...ive been to a few other SF parks and alot of them are ghetto..Particulary SFA in Maryland....

Of course, nearly all of Fiesta Texas's themeing was in place before Six Flags bought the place. Fortunately they haven't screwed it up TOO much!

Hey Moosh-

Did you know Zingo! is the largest woodie in Oklahoma? The unexpected DEEP plunge (the third hill, of course) is quite the unexpected suprise!

;-)

It's not the size of the woodie but the ride experience that matters to me. Zingo! delivers in spades. If I had my way I'd ride it over and over and over and... ;)

Why would talking about Zingo! get this thread closed? It's not like we're discussing MTR!

As long as it gets closed instead of deleted, I can at least use it to re-create another TR...;)

I didn't get to ride Zingo! at all....maybe next time I'm in Oklahoma? ;)
