Aurora-area schools/Geauga Lake

Hey, quick question for Clevelanders; when do Aurora schools let out? I'm looking into the possibility of a mid-week trip to Geauga Lake for some waterparking (still trying to get over my fear of waterslides) with my girlfriend and we don't want to go if it's going to be mobbed (I realize mobbed is a relative term for Geauga). Do Aurora-area schools get out this Friday, next week, are they already out? Little help here =)

Based on information from the high school page there it seems that the schools are out.

I would think this applies to Geauga Lake as much as it does for Cedar Point.

GL, like CP, pulls from a much larger area than one school district.

And for the most part, most Northeast Ohio schools are out by Wednesday if they're not out already.

Well yea, it pulls from a bigger area, but the locals seem more likely to visit their first week out of school than one from further away - unless Geauga has a school picnic tradition like Kennywood that I didn't know about.

23 years old and you're making me feel old, Brett. Yup, I think this is the "Magic Week" for schools around the region, as I know WV schools get out this week(if not already) as well. Sorry Brett:)

I don't know what schools all you people went to but no school in Western PA ever got out before June 6th. You young punks need to toughen up and go to school longer :)

Its a new decade and new generation, Brett. Where we went to school seemingly forever, these young'uns now a days barely go at all. Maybe thats the cause of all the whiney, 'i know more than you do', 18 year olds that are taking over on here;).

Wrong, Brett. I clearly remember one year when I was done before Memorial Day. Schools around here (here = Sharon area) are frequently out within the first few days of June.

Yea, I remember one too - Senior year when they let us out 20 days ahead of time. Sharon ain't Western PA - that's east jabum ... well you get the idea.

Screw all y'all...back before the glory days of college, my school system consistently got out the third or fourth week of June. I didn't graduate last year until June 23! Stupid Jersey...

Yeah, the kids get out about a week earlier around here than I remember, but they also go back a week earlier too.

We didn't start school until the day after Labor Day and ran until mid-June (the 12th or so on average)

My daughter's last day was today, but they're back in on August 30th. Screw that. August is still clearly summertime.

Seriously, I get told by one person that I'm not in northwest PA, that I'm western PA. Then I get told that I'm not even in western PA. That's it.. I'm moving to Ohio! ;)

Hey as long as you don't piss anyone off, mafia protection can't be all bad can it? They made some damn fine ice rinks in Pittsburgh, so Youngstown's at least good for something!

Pittsburgh and Erie meet in a bar one late summer night. After a few Rolling Rocks and Yuenglings the beer goggles come out.
