I don't, yet I ride the Demon (See below) as it's the only operating inverting coaster in Sydney :(. Going forward is sheer bliss, backwards really plays with my head & is not a nice feeling. Only if it went backwards first, then forwards - saving best for last.

Home Park - Wonderland Sydney, Australia, featuring;
1) The Demon - 1988 Vekoma Boomerang
2) The Bush Beast - 1985 KEC Woodie (Clone of PKD's Grizzly)
3) Beastie - 1985 KEC Junior Woodie
4) More steel coasters please!!! Preferably a B&M Masterpiece!

I love riding backwards. It gives you a whole new perspective. Can't wait to ride the Racer at PKI this year.

I really like going backwards especially on old Arrow shuttle loopers. It gives a unique feeling.

Anyone ridden Face/Off at PKI? Going through the cobra roll (is it called something else?) is an insane feeling.

I like riding Thunderation in the backwards facing cars. Fun to watch the faces of younger kids in the forward facing cars. Also the backwards facing cars get a great view of the ozark hills on the lift hill.

Personally, I don't like it. It feels unnatural. I just hate boomerangs. I rode the Racer at PKI and that wasn't too bad.

It is a very unique sensation. Like watching a video tape in reverse. Rebel yell at PKD

Riding The Comet at the defunct Crystal Beach was a blast. It was completely different from riding foward as it was riding backwards.
It would be nice if The Great Escape added a little extra thrill and added the backwards element with half of their trains with The Comet like it was when it used to be at Crystal Beach.

They do, it's called the mediocre Joker's revenge! I personally like going backwards. Boomerangs are fun, I find, and so is Colossus backwards. I went on Mindbender in West Edmonton mall twice, once forwards and once backwards. For that one, I preferred the forwards train.

There are a few racing (full circuit )coasters where they flipped the trains around on one side so you can ride backwards.
eg. Rebel Yell at PKD

My first backwards was a Vekoma Boomerang - Mind Eraser at then Geauga Lake, OH. I must say, no other coaster delivers quite the same thrill! Even if you close your eyes, you still have an idea of what is coming and how far ahead it is, but the backwards element really lets you lose perspective and be totally surprised. They are a little rougher because you can't prepare for the inversions as well, but well worth it for a trade off, in my opinion!

I think it's ok...not as good as going forward of course, but cool none the less. Mr. Freeze at my home park of SFStL goes backwards, and is super intense.

I think Invertigos are the best, but have you ever turned your head around to somwhat experiance the coaster backwards? The Giand Dipper at SCBB rules like that, but it rules anyways
