Every year I always hear people talking about Knoebels being bought by Six Flags, Dorney Park, and Hershey. The funny thing is everyone who states this is positive of it. Just look at Knoebels website and they tell you themselves.

My favorite was back in '98 when some guy on the gemini crew said they are building a 300ft coaster on the frontier trail.

I think the Classic has to be the Story of the older Intamin freefall rides going off of the end, I have heard this at every park that had one, I believe it happned at one park one time though, Anyone out there know it to be really true or not

That Cedar Point is going to build a coaster(s) over Lake Erie. I am so sick of hearing that one. Heck, CP even drains the lagoon in the winter by Mantis and Iron Dragon, and that's only a couple of feet. So why would they build a coaster over Lake Erie??????????

I heard a bunch at ioa last summer. My two favorites were: Dueling Dragons was supposed to be one big inverted and Dr. Doom was supposed to be one big tower. Wish it had been it would have made doom exciting.

I find it crazy when people say that Cedar Point will build a 380 foot tall thrust air with a 300 foot loop with trains that are more like B&M trains.

I'm sick of hearing the story that Michigan Adventure is getting a hyper coaster. That story has been around for at least three years.

The MIA one would be crazy, except the owner wants to build one.

Definitely has the room for one...

Well, I heard from my friend that worked at my homepark, SFGA, Giant Drop was gonna have 150ft added on, but after thinking about it, with Gurnees laws and all, theres no way they would let it be around 400 ft..

I'm tired of hearing how many people died on the Bat at (pre-Paramount) Kings Island.

Around here (Kentucky), anytime I mention I like roller coasters, that almost always comes up. It's impossible to convince them that nobody even got injured on the thing, much less died. That's how urban legends go...

The best one was last summer at pki There was some crazy rumor that pki was getting a 378 foot launched floorless coaster. Every one said it would be where reptar rollercoaster is know. They even had it in the cincinate newspaper. There was also the one about pki getting a looping wood coaster. Wait that already happened :)
