We were at the park today and rode Superman.. a little while later, leaving the park there was a rush of security guards heading towards superman.. there was also a helicopter flying overhead.. there was a television reporter waiting outside asking who rode the ride.. a couple near us told us that a handicapped older heavyset man had fallen from the ride.. while we were in line for the ride, there was an older gentleman on a red scooter waiting near the exit to board the ride.. now this was our first time on the ride, but i have to say that even with the belt and lap thing as tight as it would go, there were times when my butt didnt hit the seat.. if someone with limited lower leg strength was on that ride, i cant believe they wouldnt have a difficult time with that ride.. of course, we wondered though.. it was all run by young people.. all under 20 by the looks.. should they know better to seat someone with obvious physical problems? Anyway.. we do not know for sure if it was that man, but whoever it was our hearts go out to their family.. it is bad enough to have been there on that ride, knowing that 1-2 rides later someone died while trying to have a good time..
