My mum would never ride 'em, but appreciates the beauty of the design. For example, on 'Beyond 2000' - Australian current/future science/innovations TV Show in 1994, there was a segment on Raptor and Dr Richard Brown, otherwise known as Dr Rollercoaster. It was the first time we had seen an Inverted in action and she wouldn't stop shouting out 'Wooh! Wow! Ahh!' etc. My dad was just as impressed, only he was stunned into silence. :)
My dad loves coasters, however I now don't buy my own junkfood anymore as he pigs out on it and as a result is too big to ride 'em anymore. I'm not happy with him about that! Oh well, he tried the test seats for the Hulk. Nup, not even the 'Big Boy' seats which only allow beer bellies, not huge rear ends! (I apologise for being slack) He asked an op & they said it's to stop little kids from slipping out & also designed around small Europeans. Bugger it! I say build a XXXL train.
He has ridden the Luna Park Big Dipper, Seaworld Arrow Loop Corkscrew, Dreamworld's Thunderbolt twice only - hurt him, read below why, and the Eureka Mine Ride plus Looping Star, an old Schwarzkopf model of the same name when I was too young to remember that. Same model as BGT's Scorpion. That is all he's been on. He has a bad back & is worried about riding the Demon or Lethal Weapon SLC.
My only sibling - a younger sister, is a complete chicken when it comes to coasters. She gets carsick when I'm driving cos like to drive as if the road is one long coaster!
My dad's eyes sometimes drift into space as I babble on about HSXLC etc & chase after him doing so.
Man, I wish were twins so that we could travel all over the world riding coasters etc. Would one of you like to be my 'twin?' Just kidding.
How about your siblings? Are they coaster nuts or chickens?
