 
    
	
		Here's the thing... MPEG is not a streaming format. You're best off downloading the file to your disk first, then playing it. 
 
Streaming Windows Media, like that found in the gallery on Guide to The Point, is a streaming format that plays in real time. I prefer it over Real because it looks better to me, and the streaming software is built into the server I already have. :) No streaming format is perfect (though QuickTime 5 will be pretty close), so you'll get skipage if you're on a crowded network or on a modem to an over-utilized ISP. 
 
QuickTime is the best trade-off for quality and file size, without a doubt. I can get file sizes way down and maintain outstanding quality. Version 4 is not strictly intended for streaming, but 5 is, and it's looking very good. QuickTime should rule the world. Just check out that high-res MF POV on GTTP...
