Fastest amusement ride in the world?

Is it what they claim, is there anything faster? 0-100 in 2 sec?

Where is this opening? I havnt heard anything about it till now.

Anyone know anything more about this?

This ride is at Old Town outside Orlando, FL. It's been open for almost 6 months now. It's an S&S ride that uses the same technology as Hypersonic, Dodonpa, and all their tower rides.

Sure it is the fastest, fastest to 100mph. It's all in how you spin it.

I've ridden it.....it's AMAZING.

Basically all you control is stomping on the gas pedal. I "drove", my girlfriend rode, and we raced a dad and his daughter. Anyway, it tracks your speed and time, and they do film you with a lipstick camera in the rear view mirror. My time was 118 in 1.83 seconds, which is a little greater than Dodonpa...cool!

Word is they wanted to have it faster than Dragster to make it the fastest thrillride, but that's not happeneing. It will just have the fastest acceleration.

Way too pricey, but a fun ride.

What's holding them back from the speed record? Track not long enough?

Oh, no...I won :) I don't know what's holding them back....their machinery may have just topped out in the 'teens

$27 to "drive" and $10 for a rider in the same car. WAY too expensive, IMO, but I did it anyway :) That was a pricey 2 seconds!

It's even better when you ride it thrice for free. ;)

Joe, liked the ride, but would never *ever* pay to ride it. It's just over too quickly and since there's a windshield you don't really feel the wind kicking your ass like on Dragster.

$27! GOOD GRIEF! What a rip-off! I thought the coasters in Vegas were overpriced! Plus $10 for a 'rider.' I guess if you split the difference... Nope. $18.50 per person. That's almost a full day at Knott's with the deals going right now. Heck, that's almost a full day at SFMM! (SoCal residents only; lucky me!)

I rode it on the 11th. It was actually $28 for the driver and $15 for passenger. It was fun but there is really no control by the driver. All you do is hit the gas when the tree lights up. Its fun except at the end when your balls get smashed into the seat belt. It was fun and really fast.

It's worth 10 bucks to "ride", but I was a little pissed about 27 to "drive", but then again that could be partly to do with the cruddy staff.

Old Town.. it's a hole and a tourist trap. It's so bad, I didn't even bother to pick up another credit on their Dragon Wagon.

No kidding....that place was a total hole! I was anxious to get out of there.....I rode the Windstorm, shelled out too much $$ for the G_Force, and got the heck out of there! :)

I wonder how much G-FOrce cost to build. There is no vertical construction, so that's a massive savings. If it was expensive, that could explain some of the cost.

What did you guys really think about the place?

Old Town has some interesting shops...and a few unique rides...but that's about it.

I like to just go and look at some of the shops. I like old town to walk around for an hour or so. Its a nice clean place with some interesting stuff to do. There is a nifty helicopter tour place across the street I recommend checking it out!
