Best Landscaping

I've always felt that parks should be more like "parks"...i.e. more grass, trees, water, etc. What are some of the better 'parklike' amusement parks? BGW comes to mind. I haven't been to the new Elitch Gardens yet; are the gardens on par with the old ones?

As suprising as it may sound, Six Flags Great Adventure, despite its many areas crowded with rides, food, and games does have some nice "park-like" areas. A good portion of the interior has lots of big trees. The lakefront has also been left relativaly park like, but is starting to get built up. I wish Great Adv. did have more areas that are very park like, it would be a nice escape from the crowd.

Off-topic, but I think GAdv. might be able to ease some of its crowding problems if they spread out their rides more. They have so much room, except most of their rides are cramed into little areas such as Movietown, Olde Country/Fantasy Forest, and Frontier Adventures. They have the space so use it.

Both Busch Gardens' are beautiful parks.

Not even close.

I think the best landscaping award would go to BGT. The zoo/park package works out very well.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is my vote.

I think Busch Williamsburg wins, also. SFFiestaTexas is an absolutely gorgeous park, with the canyon walls providing a backdrop for most of the rides. The waterfall at the parking lot entrance is a highlight also, along with the waterfalls in park. SFoverTexas also is landscaped well, some rides hidden in the trees, etc. It used to be that, at least! Not sure about now.

I kinda like mountains and rock too. SFFT sounds really cool. Sorry to hear about Elitch Gardens. I've been to BGW and must say that it was really nice. I like the river valley right down the middle.

The reason the subject came up was because I'm anticipating the opening of Bonfante Gardens in Gilroy, CA. If you go to the website, you may notice an impressive attention to landscaping. In fact, that's what the place is all about. No really wild rides, but a nice place to go. Can't wait.

(don't get me wrong, I can't wait for X!!!)

I have heard a lot about the gardens at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, but I think that Disneyland has some very impressive landscaping as well.

Busch Gardens Williamsburgh, Busch Gardens Tampa, older portions of SFA, any Disney park, almost any park in Pennslyvainia (except for Dorney from what I have heard), Holliday World, the Rivertown area of PKI and the area near White Watre Canyon at PKD.

Funny no Cedar Fair parks got named...maybe they should take the hint :-)

I like Busch Gardens and Hersheypark the most.

ive never been to bgw,but ive been to bgt.it was a beutiful park.the second most beutiful park ive been to is cedar point.

Don't be knocking Cedar Point. Given their budget, they do a great job.

I agree that BGW and BGT are beautiful parks, but I can't believe no one mentioned Kennywood. There are plenty of shade trees, beautiful plants and flowers, the picnics areas are all nicely shaded, the lake has a nice walking bridge, and much more. Kennywood is a beautiful park.
