Keiko memorial service set

I realize this isn't strictly industry news, but I know a lot of people followed the Keiko story, especially if they had at some point viewed him at the Oregon Coast Aquarium (which by the way is worth your visit if you ever get the chance).

He was the first killer whale I had ever seen that exhibited a lot of personality just hanging out in his tank. While I personally think the cause to return him to the wild was admirable, it's unfortunate that they never "listened" to him in that he didn't want to be free after all. *** Edited 2/5/2004 1:04:28 PM UTC by Jeff***

How ironic. Free Willy didn't want to be free. Sad, though.
Agree with you 100% on the Orgon Coast Aquarium, got the chance to see Keiko when he was there and we must have watched him for at least 30 min just interacting with us. Too bad they couldnt keep him there longer then they did.
