Sky Lift, Monorail, or Train?

I love all three ways...
Trains - you get great rides thru a forrest and around bigger attractions. At Indiana Beach, the train is built right next to the lake and I love the view!
Monorails - Fun! I love Disney's, fast and fun!
Skyrides - Any are fun! I prefer Indiana Beach's...I don't know why, there is just something about it.

Yes the monorails at Disney are incredible in both design and experience. I even purchased one of the operating battery powered sets available at the parks now! It moves, lights up, and even has various sound phrases ("please stand clear of the doors", etc.)!!
I have always loved trains, and make them the primary subject of my artwork. I have also run steam locomotives at museums and tourist lines, so I naturally go for a good ol' fashioned train ride at a park. The amount of work and maintenance that goes into a locomotive is unbelievable, even at parks like Disney and Cedar Point. No matter the size, you are dealing with one of the most powerful machines man has created. If it weren't for the heavy maintenance and fuel consumption, steam locomotives would still be on every rail line today. Long live the Wabash Cannonball!

I like skyrides because you can get a nice view from up so high. I rode the one at Cedar Point so many times just to save my feet, and ended up getting cool pictures of Raptor and the Midway.
The monorails at Disney World are nice, but I liked them more when I was little.
Trains never look very interesting to me. The one at BGT was nice for relaxing but other than that, I don't prefer trains.

I'm with Justin, walking is the way to go. But since I'm lazy I take the trans ride whenever I can. My favorite is the sky ride because it's nice and slow and you get a good view of the park. Also, that bump that makes your basket sway for a bit is pretty cool.
I can't remember riding the monorails but I can't see them being as good as a sky ride. And trains are very slow, usually crowded, and often take a very indirect route to wherever they're going. A good ride to rest your feet on, but not much as a mode of transportation.

Sky Lifts, actually chairlifts as nothing beats being high up with nothing below your feet. Almosts as good as riding an Inverted coaster. ;)
All are too slow to my liking. I wish for a VFT (Very Fast Train) that circles my park or any other park. Actually it would be Intamin Sit-Down track with LIMs along the entire circuit. Stations where ever they're needed. Would use Cinema Trains with lap bars like those of MF or SROS, or even an expanded four-across design for mass transportation. Top speed would be 100mph, could be anything, just depends on length of track inbetween stations etc.
Yup, the track would be banked as much as 60 degrees when negotiating bends. Such a VFT would be ideal in a large park like SFMM, CP, IOA, etc. It would defintely be a terrain coaster & a family one too. Just that babies, infants & toddlers wouldn't be allowed to ride. Only small children & upwards allowed for safety reasons.
This is because I love SPEED! Which is why STE and ToT are among my fave coasters. I'm really pissed off with my Goverment as they opted for a VFT like the 200mph TGV from France instead of a-yet-to-be-built actual 300mph MAGLEV connecting Sydney to Canberra (Capital). The MAGLEV would have been built over mountains etc. instead of through as with the VFT. It would have been a 300mph terrain coaster with perhaps 30 degree banked curves. :(

I like 'em all:
Sky liift- Nice and relaxing, let's you get a great veiw of the park, and they are great for taking pictures.
Monorail- Good, fast way to get around.
Train- Very interesting. A relaxing and fun alternitive to walking.

I'll go with walking - you can get there faster and not be waiting in line for the transportation to boot! But I do think they all have their good points, from a classic amusement park element to good views and air conditioning (some monorails, anyway), and they're part of the whole experience.
