For those of you that are in to DDR, there is a free program for the PC, MAc and Linux called StepMania. You can read about it at http://www.stepmania.com/stepmania/. I personally have no interest in it, but thought I would pass the word along to those who might.

I use Stepmania and like it a lot. Another pretty popular emulator is Dances with Intensity.

Dance With Intensity (DWI) hasn't been updated in about a year or so. StepMania, an open source project, is constantly being updated with new features and such.

Again, as I mentioned, this is not my thing... I am more of a MAME / Visual PinMame kinda guy myself, But how does beatmania compare to the arcade games?

Ooh, another Visual Pinball user! Glad it's not as vague as I thought it might be.

Yeah, Stepmania is pretty much a given to anyone into DDR. I love using it to make my own steps to other songs (I usually make songs/Visual Pinball tables under my moniker IcePagoda on Bemanistyle and VPForums respectively.).

Both Stepmania and VP are great outlets for creativity.
