I am currently building a model of a roller coaster out of the k'nex screami' serpent set. I am looking into buying the new Rippin' rocket set but i was just wondering if any one knows...How good are the 2 launchers on the Rippin Rocket?????

I'm pretty sure the cars are NOT interchangable, so they're probably enough to get a single car up about 5' into the air (the height of the RR tower).

Yeah unfortunately the trains are not interchangeable. I wish they were but i'm not sure how well the boosters would launch a train (the Rippin Rocket is only 1 car).

Altho I was considering trying to make my own custom cars if I can figure out how i'll do it.

Anyway to answer your question the boosters launch the car pretty fast over the top of the coaster. I have yet to experiment around and see how high I can get it to launch.

On my settup, both launchers are on the ground(instead of having one halfway up the tower), and it easily launches six feet as long as i give it time to recharge after each launch. Hope that helps!

From what I can tell, you can interchange the track, but the launchers won't work on SS cars, and the chain won't work on RR cars.
