K'nex Come out with a new coaster!

I saw in the Target ad this morning that K'nex has released another coaster called Rippen Rocket. They claim it is a smaller version on a popular coaster. To me it looks like a TTD with a different twist. It has a loop instead of the 270 degree spiral. You can take a look at it here:

Well sorry kick the sky...i dont live at my local toys 'r us waiting to see if a new toy has come that day. and ty dorneydante for stickin up for me! i dont go to toy stores everygay to see if there is something new in and this was the first time i had every heard of it as some people have things called jobs...thats where you work and get paid for the stuff you do! and i dont think u get paid to go to toys r us and search the floor to see if there is a new today that day! And red Garter yes it is like a thrust air...but also has the shape of a dragster, so it can go either way i think. and sorry bout the price thing but thats what target.com was saying the retail price was...i dont remember what price the ad stated.

CP Boy - I have known about this for months now as well, and guess what? I dont search toys r us to see if a new k'nex coaster has come out! Imagine that.

I recently saw it at my local Wal-Mart but it was kinda pricey. If I remember correctly, it was no less than $90, but I dont remember the exact figure. When the price drops to about 40 or 50, then I'll think about getting one - for now, I'll save the money so I can put my money somewhere a bit more worthwhile like getting next years season pass to PKD.

I have known about it for some time also. And I too have a job. This topic has existed once before and Knex have been advertising it for months. I don't even live within 60 miles of a Target, Toys-R-Us, or Meyer.

Let's all stop jabbering about how close or far we are from a store, and how often (or not) we look for new coaster models, and just enjoy the fact that there's cool coaster sets for us to play with, hmm?

CP Boy, the point I was trying to make was there were several threads already started on this product months ago. If you would have used the search button and looked for the topic you would have found one and known that posting this topic would have been sheer folly. Then again you probably didnt read the terms of service for this site either so there is no use in arguing with you...

I've seen at least 100 commercials for this new awesome set but never saw a topic here about it. When I saw it on tv it looked like the track was going to fall apart after a few launches. That thing doesn't look very sturdy and appears to take forever to build the huge structure. Despite all it's flaws, much like the Top Thrill Dragster, it would still be fun to own one. One quick question, does anyone know if you can make the track into different designs or is it only a one shot deal?

It looks like the track the compatible with Screamin serpent (although the cars/train don't appear to be) in which case you can build it into whatever you want.
