SFGAdv..the long wait!
This is to the people who's park has just closed for the winter. Yesterday at SFGAdv was just so perfect and today it's all gone. As you can tell, I don't do well without my park. I have my desk blotter all done in GA cutouts and my calendar is counting down the days till the opening weekend. I am so depressed! Anybody else feel this way? While I'm at it, this year's Dead Man's Party dancers were by far THE BEST!!!! GOOD JOB PEOPLE! The guy with the gray face was IMHO the best by far, followed by the lead girl. But they were all exceptional.

Antuan, I do have many problems to deal with, then of course, there's the state of the word (we could get very deep here), but when I go to GA, I leave all my problems at the gate...it's like therapy to me. I'm so happy there, it really is a welcomed escape from problems.

When my homepark closes for the season, I run to the most distant corner of the park, curl up in a ball and assume the fetal position. Security always drags me to the front gate sobbing uncontrollably and thrashing about like a 3 year-old. At least this year some of them recognized me and said, "Ready for your exit, Mr. Playa?" I think the lead gal (dragging me by my left foot) was the best. She didn't laugh as hard as the rest of the staff either. I wonder if she likes deep-fried Snickers...but I digress.
Damn this snowy weather! VF I need you I need you I need you...sniff...sorry, I need a moment....

I usually prefer prostrate. It's much easier to grab onto light poles and benches than fetal position. Next year I might mix it up a bit though. I've been working on this great spin move that really intimidates security.

I treat winter like the off season of sports. I gotta work out to be in tip top shape for next season. I walk about 3 miles a day. Run up and down stairs. I find and empty parking lot and place cones around like a Q line and run through them. I rigged up my own little B&M harness and I practice pulling it down and locking it and releasing it. I also save some money!

At least you got to ride at the end of the year. As a ride op at SFA, we were allowed no last rides. I haven't been on a coaster since August 19th-the employee party. At least I made it to a half-decent carnival, and a haunted house themepark since then. As mom will say, "It'll still be there next year", unless of course Dorney Park or Worlds of Fun is your homepark.
