Wheres The Wood?

Well Officially Only One wooden Coaster has been announced in the U.S. for additions to parks in 2001. And despite it being built in a hard place to build a coaster, it is not that much.
But we do have the Hope that Wild Adventures will announce there CCI woodie on March 8th.
My question is where are the other Coaster Companies. GCI? Coaster Works? Even two Coasters for CCI is kind of low for them. Intamin and Vekoma are building the three in Europe So they are not in Europe.
I would like to believe we will see a few more from Coaster works in smaller parks.

Anybody know why this is?

Maybe alot of the parks wanted their new coaster for the year 2000 last year because there seemed to be a lot of woodies built last year (alot steels also).
Bell's in Tulsa is working on getting a CCI and I think I heard a rumor that Big Chiefs is looking into a fourth CCI so I imagine we will see some more woodies next year.

a lot of people are speculating that PGA is gettin a woodie to replace grizzly, also talk of SFMM gettin one.

Del Grossa (Blands) Family Fun Park is taking bids for a twister, similar to the Wildcat in Idora Park. probably will debut in 2003.

I'm just hoping the 2002 rumors for another woodie at Knoebels are true. I personally think it will be too soon for them. After all between Phoenix and Twister there was a 14 year gap between woodies. You never know Knoebels has been doing great the last few years. I don't expect a GCI or CCI though.

Not Too Shabby For A Summer

BE patient we still have a few months left. We might get a few more woods but I doubt that due to the coaster boom last year. The wood coaster we do have is going to pack one Hell of a punch.
