Well, those are nice figures and all, but it never comes out that way. Disney never puts 100,000 full paying guests in any of their parks. And overhead is so astronomical compared to other industries that the pie 'ain't so big' at the end of the season like everyone thinks. For every guest will plunks down full price for a ride all day admission, and eats 2 meals, plays games, buys some gifts, and does the Skycoaster, there is someone who got in for $10 and a Pepsi can, does not play a game, and 'forgets' to eat. Well, costs in a park occur if you have 500 people there or 50,000.
Go to some websites and see the annual reports. They are not as pretty as people think. The more people come, the more food goes out, the more prizes go out, the more wear and tear on a ride happens. And, you need more staff. It never really stops. Some times you just hope you have enough money to buy someone a drink at IAAPA in November.
