future attractions for point

everyone is saying cedar point isn't getting any coasters for the 2001 season, Does anyone here believe otherwise. I mean cedar point has contract for rollercoaster with B+M , arrow and I think maybe intamin, what makes people think cp wont get anything for the 2001 season. It would only make sense with sfmm releasing three coaster this year.
Cp could hurry plans and add something to keep the title. We do have a few months for parks to open and debuts , what makes pple think Cedar point isn't just trying to keep things a secret

I think I heard that too Intamin2k!

But seriously ( ;) ), I heard that CP is fulfilling their outstanding B&M, Arrow, and Intamin contracts. They are having the 3 companies each build one coaster, then they are going to connect the 3 making one big ride that will count as 3 coasters allowing them to take the record back from SFMM. Now everyone will have to fly out from So Cal and go to CP now they have the record!!

What's with this? The kid just asked a question! He's probably new to the site, and doesn't know the ropes around here. Lay off him a little. You guys are so concerned with the moderation around here, that you forget the real purpose of this site, to talk about coasters.

Answering Jordon's question, Cedar Point will not get anything in 2001. Years in advance, they plan with the designer, and if they were putting something in, they sure wouldn't do it hastily, that's not their way. I don't expect them to put anything big in in 2002, either. They spent so much on the Force, that I expect we are going to get something huge in 003.

The following have been flung around for CP's next coaster(s);

-B&M Mega Looper with 9 or 13 Inversions, CP are in need of a good Looper. However some people have said the park is NOT for Loopers.
-B&M Launched Floorless, Nah, as BKF is nearby.
-Arrow Mega Looper, Nah, old idea.
-Arrow 4D, let's see how X performs first.
-S&S 300' TA2K - Good idea, could make it a Looper.
-Woodie - IMO, nah as park has enough woodies.

Did I leave out anything else?

Since SFMM has stolen CP's crown and nothing has been built this year which has been riding on the sucess of last year's construction of MF, it is likely a new coaster or more will be built next year. If not, in '03 & the park will put in a couple of small coasters to stay ahead.

This war, if there is really one, between the two parks is really dumb. Fatal mistakes could arise from this. They're 3,000 miles apart for cryin' aloud! SFMM is the thrill park and CP is the traditional & quality park. That is my opinion which could be wrong, look below where I'm from! I've been to SFMM & not CP but am dying to go there.

Cedar Point is a great park and theres always a surpize about to happen. I think that all the rumors are just that. If Cedar Point does build something for 2002 it's gonna be something that were not expecting.

If they were that desperate for a coaster, they could just get the Jumbo Jet out of storage...2002 and 2003 hold some BIG suprises. :-)
