Thanks Gator, you're absolutely right. I had never seen one of these things until last weekend. Nice relaxing ride.

PKD also has a chance aviator in the nick central section as well.

Zierer must've really made changes to the 64 seater because it originally looked pretty much the same as the standard 48 seater found in most parks with the exception of the extra added capacity & they were able to bring the ride up to a height of 87 ft by adding an extra hydraulic cylinder to the ride while the 48 seater only goes up to 39 ft.

I noticed that on the 24 seater it only has one cylinder while the 48 seater has the standard 2 cylinders but the 64 seater has a whopping 3! I wonder what the height restriction to ride is on that thing? usually it's 48 inches to ride the 48 seat model.

The coolest Wave Swinger I've ever seen (but certainly not the largest) is HallowSwings at HW. I can't wait to go back and see it all lit up at night!

Ahh yes,there's just something about a wave swinger/flying carousel when all the lights are on.

It adds that extra touch of beauty to the ride & makes it just as much fun to look at as it is to ride it.

Now, if the Stratosphere ever decides to remove Big Shot, it would be a great spot for this thing.

I don't know though, perhaps a big too scary for me even.

I think that a Waveswinger mounted at the top of a 1000+ foot tower would be a hundred times more frightening than a Space Shot. Count me in...

Its a concept so ridiculous, I'd have to ride it. Still, it would probably be easier if I had a few drinks in me... although that might not spell such good things for those down below.

Actually, if you look closely at onw of the 48 pictures, it looks exactly like the one at Navy Pier...I never realized that it was on the bigger side.

That 70's Show Rocks, but coasters are okay too. :)

Man that park in Japan looks so sterile, maybe its all the white paint and grass.

Looks like a hospital... obviously, that park isn't very fixated on making things colorful. Still... looks like a really nice place.

I know this sounds insaane but what if they ever made a prone wave swinger?

It would make one helluva ride,but the only problem would be in loading & unloading the ride,but if they ever did make such a ride would there be anyone here that's man enough to ride it?.

Prone, as in a "flying" waveswinger?

I think that the Huss Flyaway might be the closest thing to that concept...

A Zamperla Kite Flyer also has a similar action to a Wave Swinger while lying prone, but the ride doesn't ever get too far off the ground. Still a fun ride, though.

A Flyaway is kind of like an Enterprise, where it starts flat and then elevates 90 degrees to a vertical position, right?

Yes that's what the Flyaway is,it's simply a prone enterprise.

With a prone,or flying wave swinger you'd have the same "connection of the seats to the ride(four chains,two on each side) but just a face down vehicle,perhaps something similar to a skycoaster harness would work..
