Sometimes I get the impression people post without reading any of the topic.
First of all, Legendary, Walter Bolliger doesnt even work with the actual ride designing. He manages the deals themselves and contacts the parks. Claude Mabillard, on the other hand, does. He's also the person who actually said 160 feet at opening day, not Walter.
Second of all, and let me say that this is final, The LIFT is 175 feet, and the DROP is 168 feet. There is also a section following the lift, before the drop into the pit, where the train spirals downward picking up some speed. Physically impossible? I remember some post a while back where somebody's "physics" showed that Shivering Timbers could not clear the 2nd or 3rd hills.
I can't wait till somebody shows me an email from B&M saying "we were wrong" or something, so I can be humiliated, but until then, I'm standing by what reliable sources have said. Boy it's really starting to feel like the off-season! Time for some ice cream..
