Take for instance the new location for Stealth at Carowinds, situated on an island and partially over water. Matching the Flyer to an interesting environment would provide a more exciting, and lasting ride experience.
I think that parks in the future are going to move towards doing this with their new Flyers, and away from the "let's just plop this on a boring midway or slab of dirt" mentality that we've mostly seen so far.
I think both CP and BGW are places (among others) that I could see building a Flyer in the future, and weaving it among trees for a more exciting ride experience. They certainly have ample trees for such a placement.
Regardless, I think this is the way Flyers are going to have to move if they don't want to become like the Stand-Ups of the 90's.
Take care and God bless! :)

I can certainly envision SFEV moving -- or removing -- Wild Thing and placing a Superman-themed flyer in the spot that coaster plus the small employee lot takes up.
Yay, I get to disagree with Moosh...:). I definitely do NOT see that park as getting investments on that scale. I think that park will be *generating* cash to funnel into parks with more....*upside*. The potential for that park is limited, competition even more limited...great investment, but not anything I'd sink a ton of cash into....;)
Next west-coast park to get a flyer....SFMM '05 (at the earliest), B&M....I don't *think* any more Vekoma flyers will be built in the states...but then again, I'd have said the same about TFC, so what do *I* know...;).
A Z-flyer really *could* work, but probably not a good idea at a park with the crowds that SFMM generates...it might be a cool thing over a boardwalk pier though...;)

Well you're still right about TFC. Ontario isn't a state of the United States, last time I checked. ;)
But yeah, no more Vekoma flyers for the US--just the standard Superman cookie cutter B&M courtesy of our favorite chain, Six Flags ! Superman: The Flight After the Escape. ;)
